Visiting
To maintain the biosecurity of our animals, we are not generally open to the public, so we’re sorry, but we’re unable to offer alpaca walks or other similar alpaca experiences.
To keep our alpacas safe, we follow the guidance and regulations from the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA), including:
– keeping our farm access routes, parking areas, and our feeding and storage areas clean and tidy
– we have pressure washers, brushes, hoses, water and disinfectant available, and we make sure any visitors use them
– we don’t allow contact with our neighbours’ livestock and we strictly maintain the structural integrity our fences which are high tensile and badger proof
– public footpaths are separate from livestock grazing areas
– we operate a pest control programme
– fencing off access to streams and ponds, and supplying clean fresh drinking water
